Responsible for BIM methodology coordination, i.e.:

• Anchor working methods during the design around how the requirements are to be worked into the model and database on an ongoing basis for the various designers

• Prepare methodology descriptions and inform about methodology

• Explain the conditions for good cooperation based on the requirements. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the requirements are met with the right quality. The information depends on the stage the project is in.

• The BIM coordinator is given the mandate to demand that the project's instructions are followed.

• The BIM coordinator role can be compared to the traditional model or CAD coordinator role. However, the BIM coordinator role is considerably more extensive and more deeply rooted in the project.

establish and manage a joint project coordination model that describes the existing facility, surroundings and projected material. The coordination model is used to support planning, fact-checking and collision control. It can also be the basis for a VR model.

continuously support the project/project managers in 3D and BIM matters.
