Björkö ice house
Of the many ice houses that once existed along the coast, only a few are preserved. Björkö Ice Works therefore has great cultural-historical value and is important for the understanding of Björkö's history.
We were commissioned to design a careful reconstruction of the Björkö ice house together with an antiquarian investigation of the Västarvet.
The ice plant will continue to produce ice for the smaller fishing industry at the same time as the building is added with more functions in addition to ice and brewery with, for example, exciting business premises and studios
